Review: Sweet Potato Popchips

Sweet Potato Popchips are air-popped sweet potato chips. They still use oil to cook them but less so than the more typical deep-frying.

I bought a 3-ounce bag for $2.69.

Like regular Popchips, these aren't made from sliced potatoes but are instead made with dried sweet potato and the main ingredient is actually rice flour. I guess these might be considered sweet potato-flavored by some.

The flavor is fairly light but very pleasant. It's lightly sweet potato-ish, lightly sweet, and lightly salty.

Like the rest of the Popchips line and similar popped chips products, there's a nice airy crunch to it; sort of like dense popcorn.

Overall, Sweet Potato Popchips are pretty nice if you're looking to snack on something mildly sweet and savory with an audible crunch.
