Review: Snickers Peanut Butter Egg

Snickers Peanut Butter Eggs are an seasonal Easter item and come in a chocolate egg shaped filled with peanut butter, nougat, caramel, and peanuts.

You can pick up a pack of six individually-packaged chocolate eggs for about $2.79 or wait until after Easter to try and score them for half that when stores try to clear out their Easter stock.

I think these are supposed to be the Easter version of Snickers Peanut Butter Squared but there isn't a nougat layer and it's better for it.
I tasted a bit more peanut butter in the Peanut Butter Eggs and the layer was creamier and more peanut-butter-like than the Peanut Butter Squared.

It was also a bit saltier (from the peanuts) and sweeter (from the extra caramel and chocolate) than a typical Snickers bar and the caramel seemed a bit more gooey.
Overall, it was pretty good, I still like the Reese's Peanut Butter Egg more though but maybe I'm a purist.
