News: Jack in the Box Brings Back the Bonus Jack

Jack in the Box returns the Bonus Jack for a limited time. The burger is Jack in the Box's take on the rival McDonald's Big Mac and was first introduced in 1970. Like the Big Mac, it features a club-style third bun slice and a "secret" sauce.

In between the bun, you'll also find two beef patties, American cheese, lettuce, and pickles.

For the length of its limited time stay, the Bonus Jack is offered in a combo with a small order of fries and a drink for $4.49.

It's being promoted with a new TV spot playing up the burger's retro angle:

The Bonus Jack is not offered in Cincinnati.

  1. It says $4.49 on this commercial but for some reason in my area (SC) it says $3.99 on the TV ad....

  2. My guess is that they have a localized version for your market.

  3. Yeah, they have the same thing here in San Antonio as well. I guess they have to make it more competitively priced with the Big Mac in different markets. You can get a Big Mac combo here for around $5, so 50 cents less for a Big Mac clone probably wouldn't be that appealing to most people. $1 less might get some people to try it though.
