News: McDonald's - New Mighty Wings

McDonald's is offering new Mighty Wings for a limited-time. The bone-in chicken wings feature a "bold, spicy breading."

The new wings come just in time for the start of football season. They come in orders of 3 pieces, 5 pieces, and 10 pieces with prices starting at $2.99 for 3 pieces and up to $8.99 for 10 pieces..

Similar to Chicken McNuggets, you can choose from the same selection of sauces for dipping.

Mighty Wings look to be available through mid-November.

The price seems a bit high to me; at least in my area, KFC is offering their Hot Wings at 3 pieces for $1.50.

Some of you might remember that McDonald's originally offered Mighty Wings back in the late '90s but discontinued them in 2003.

I'm not sure why they're not called "McWings" because that's the name they go by in certain countries abroad. I suppose "Mighty" still starts with an M though.

  1. Even those these things are completely overpriced, I'm still willing to give them a shot. They seem to be pretty sizable, and McDonald's chicken isn't terrible (though it's certainly not my first choice).

I'm hoping they have a sale on them like they've been doing with a lot of their new products lately (around here at least I know the new Quarter Pounders, the McWrap, and both the Chicken and Fish McBites all had special deals or sale pricing shortly after they came out).

  3. I'm usually willing to try new offerings from fast food places, even wacky ones (like the ribs from BK), but I'm not interested at all in these wings. Not only are they way overpriced (like the ribs...) I can get a lot better elsewhere for less money.

  4. I like McDonald's.. but other than maybe their fries and breakfast sandwiches, isn't that true for almost everything they sell?

  5. Breakfast sandwiches are way overpriced too, I mean an egg mcmuffin is $2.98! And you can get an ultimate breakfast sandwich at JackInTheBox for just $2.49 and it's WAY bigger!
