It came warm and cost $3.45.
Between the butternut squash and the buttery croissant, the pastry comes off feeling very rich. Both are very buttery and a little heavy.
The croissant dough develops a slight bit of crisp layers from warming. All the butter leaves it feeling a bit greasy, but still good between the combination of soft layers and crispy crust.
The filling is smooth and soft with an herby sage flavor paired with savory butternut squash and the occasional slightly crunchy pumpkin seed.
Overall, Starbucks Sage and Butternut Squash Croissant comes off a little heavy but good. It actually feels like too much in some bites. It might be enough for a light meal for some.

When is a pancake a waffle!?!?!?!?
ReplyDeleteI check your web page daily as I have a job where I spend 12 hours a day on the road so I tend to eat a lot of fast food. Sometimes I see news about food that I have not yet seen on your page and often wonder how I can share it with you ( and sometimes wonder if you already know and are still working on your blog post). Any ways I just saw this one and wanted to share it with you :

A pancake may not be a waffle, but putting a "waffle" with their chicken makes me somewhat more interested in trying it.
