Review: Del Taco - Bacon Ranch Grilled Chicken Taco

Del Taco's Bacon Ranch Grilled Chicken Taco features grilled marinated chicken, ranch sauce, bacon pieces, shredded lettuce, and hand-grated cheddar cheese folded in a soft flour tortilla.

I picked one up for $1.39.

Del Taco's chicken is pretty nice for $1.39. It's cooked to order on a flat top so that it's pretty fresh and seasoned for a nice flavor.

Bacon and ranch typically go pretty well together and that's the case here.

The grated cheddar cheese is pretty moist (as if it was recently grated) and sports a light flavor, especially when set against the other ingredients.

The shredded lettuce was fairly fresh and served as a buffer against the saltiness of the bacon, ranch, and chicken. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough; between bacon, chicken, and ranch, the Bacon Ranch Grilled Chicken is much too salty for my liking.

Overall, I liked the general taste of Del Taco's Bacon Ranch Grilled Chicken Taco, but if I got it again, I would ask them for twice the lettuce to counterbalance the excessively salty taste.

Maybe I'll stick to the generic Grilled Chicken Taco, which is pretty outstanding in itself.
