News: McDonald's Tests Clubhouse Quarter Pounder in South Florida

McDonald's is testing a 'Clubhouse Quarter Pounder' in South Florida. The burger features the requisite quarter pound beef patty, a new soft artisan roll, caramelized grilled onions, thick-cut applewood-smoked bacon, white cheddar, leaf lettuce, sliced tomatoes, and a "unique special sauce."

If the name sounds familiar, McDonald's tested a 'Clubhouse Angus' previously. Since the Angus Third Pounder platform is now discontinued, it's probably safe to consider this its spiritual successor. But while the previous test featured a crusty roll with sesame and poppy seeds, this one looks to be a soft, (shiny) egg-washed bun.

According to SouthFlorida.com, the limited-time burger is available at McDonald's locations in Miami-Dada, Broward, and Monroe county through early October. It looks like price might be testing as well, with a narrow price range between $4.49 and $4.79.
