Feature: Holiday Gift Guide - Giant Candies

Giant 3-pound gummy worms.
Because what better way to show your Christmas love than with ridiculously large candies, here's a Holiday Gift Guide to giant versions of some of your favorite candies.

I'm not talking about large boxes of your favorite candies, these are huge versions of the actual candy. They don't come cheap though! Most cost more than if you bought the same weight of the smaller versions. Check them out below:

Giant Gummy Worms - "The World's Largest Gummy Worm"  - A regular gummy worm x 128, 26 inches long and about 3 pounds in weight. Now if only it were sour...

These are available from giantgummybears.com ranging from $23.95 for a single flavor to for $36.95 for a custom flavor combination.
A 5-pound gummy bear.

Giant Gummy Bears - "The World's Largest Gummy Bear"
- 5-pound gummy bear anyone? Yeah, that's really big. You can get these in a single flavor or in 3-toned triple flavors.

They're also from giantgummybears.com and cost only slightly more than the much lighter giant gummy worm at $29.95 for the single flavor and $39.95 for custom triple flavor combinations.

Vat19 also offers the same gummy bears and gummy worms for around the same price, but with $4.99 flat rate shipping.

A giant 27-pound gummy bear.

But that's not all! If you're willing to spring for it, there's a stupendously large 27-pound gummy bear called "B.O.B." for "Big Ol' Bear." It's $149.95 at giantgummybears.com (they also have other giant gummies including a giant 27-pound python!).

Giant Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
Giant Reese's Peanut Butter Cups - "World's Largest Reese's Peanut Butter Cups" - They come two glorious half-pound peanut butter cups to a pack.

You can try your local Target, Walmart, Kmart, etc. for these. They should be about $10. You can also get these on Amazon for $9.99.

The "World's Largest" York Peppermint Patties.

Giant Peppermint Patties - "World's Largest York Peppermint Patties" - If Reese's Peanut Butter Cups aren't your thing (what?!), there's also two half-pound York Peppermint Patties available.

They're available at Kmart for $9.99. You might be able to find it locally at Target and Walmart as well.
A giant Snickers Slice and Share candy bar.

Giant Snickers
- "Snickers Slice n' Share" -  It's a giant 1-pound Snickers bar, which is about 8 times the size of a regular Snickers bar.

You can get it at CVS for $12.99 or Walmart for $9.98 (out of stock online). I'm told they're available at Target and K-Mart for around $10 as well.

A giant 5-pound Hershey's bar.
Giant Hershey's Chocolate - "World's Largest Hershey's Milk Chocolate Bar "- At 5-pounds, this is one big chocolate bar!

I'm not sure where you can get one of these locally, but it's available from Amazon ($27.27 with free shipping) and from the Hershey's online store ($44.99). You can also get it personalized (including a photo!) for $15 extra from the Hershey's store ($60 total).

Trader Joe's Pound Plus chocolate bar.

Giant Affordable Chocolate Bar - Trader Joe's Pound Plus Bars
- *in-stores only* - For a more affordable (but still quality) chocolate overload, there's Trader Joe's Pound Plus Bars of dark or milk chocolate. These 17.6-ounce bars are imported from Belgium and only $4.99 each.

I guess there's novelty to eating giant candy. I just never realized there were so many types offered!

  5. I've seen the giant Reese's/York/Snickers at Target and Wal-Mart, so I'm definitely thinking about picking up the Reese's one. They also have a 1-pound version of the Hershey's Milk Chocolate Bar as well, if you want to go big but not 5-pound (and $45) big.

  7. I contemplated getting one of the giant gummy bears for my sister for Christmas (giant gummy bears is a bit of an inside joke with us) but the cost for shipping and handling cost more than the actual thing!
