News: Pizza Hut - $5.55 1-Topping, Large Pizza Anniversary Deal

Pizza Hut turns 55 on June 15 and from now until then, they're offering 1-topping, large pizzas for only $5.55, but only for carryout orders.

A large pizza with up to 2 toppings typically costs $11 at Pizza Hut.

The offer comes on the heels of a $5.99 2-topping carryout pizza offer from rival Domino's last week.

This week, Domino's is offering 50% off their Handmade Pan Pizzas when you order online and use the code "P6A3N" through June 9.

With deals like these, it looks like the summer pizza wars have just begun.

  1. I haven't been to Pizza Hut in years (because the last few times it really sucked) but I might just have to take advantage of this offer. I hear the 'hand tossed' is the way to go, though, as the pan is now made with a frozen dough puck.

  2. I'm one of the few who apparently actually like Pizza Hut, but I don't really think it's changed much over the years... so if you didn't like it in the past I can't imagine you'd like it now. For me the choice in crust depends on how rich and greasy you want your pizza, they all have their advantages and disadvantages regarding that.

  3. The quality at Pizza Hut has declined so much that I never have the urge to eat there anymore. They used to have real cheese on their pizzas, but not anymore. It's more like buying the crap they sell at Little Caesar's. Yuck. Even the lunch buffet is a joke. Wilted lettuce and cafeteria style pizza. Is it just me, or does it seem like pretty much EVERYTHING is going down in quality these days?
