Frozen Friday: Jose Ole - Spicy Shredded Steak and Cheese Nacho Bites

Jose Ole Spicy Shredded Steak and Cheese Nacho Bites features red corn tortilla folded into triangles and filled with shredded steak, cheese, green chiles, jalapenos, and seasonings.

A 16-ounce box was on sale for $4.99.

These are basically compartmentalized nachos. You have the crunch of fried tortilla with a spicy, cheesy filling.
The tortillas end up pretty crunchy (but not quite as crunchy as chips) if you cook them in the oven or on a pan. Inside is a fairly spicy, goopy filling of mostly cheese with the occasional odd bits of mushy steak. It tastes alright, but the use of steak is a bit pointless and doesn't add much flavor. They probably would have been better off using beans.

Overall, while these have a certain finger foods vibe to them and a decent flavor, I can't help but think that nachos would be more satisfying, if a bit messier. For frozen food, I probably would skip over these next time for some taquitos.
