Review: Burger King - Oreo Shake

Burger King's Oreo Shake is a limited-time summer menu item that blends together vanilla soft serve, Oreo cookie pieces, and vanilla sauce before finishing with some whipped topping.

A 12-ounce small-size cup was $2.49.

This tasted much like I expected with creamy soft serve and little bits of Oreos. The Oreos were ground up fairly fine. Like granules-of-sand fine. The familiar chocolaty Oreo flavor remains intact, but the texture was sadly missing. I would have like a bit more variation in size for a better cookie feel. The same Oreo "sand" was used to top my shake.

The soft serve itself was a good consistency: not too liquid that it feels like a drink, but not so thick that you start to strain your cheeks. The vanilla sauce gives it an extra vanilla push to mimic an Oreos' creme filling.

Overall, Burger King's Oreo Shake was still pretty good, but the sandy bits of Oreo knock it down a step when compared to other Oreo shakes.

  1. They need to bring back the old Oreo shake with the BK Pipe, which was a wider, blue straw that allowed you to suck up pieces of oreo cookie.

  2. I don't think I ever saw those, but it sounds nice!
