News: Dunkin' Donuts Launches Glazed Donut Breakfast Sandwich Nationally

With all the buzz of its test a little over a month ago, it's no surprise that Dunkin' Donuts has launched the Glazed Donut Breakfast Sandwich nationwide as a permanent menu item at participating locations.

The sandwich features a split glazed donut sandwiching a fried egg and two slices of bacon for a breakfast blend of sweet and savory.

Implementation for the sandwich isn't too tricky since it uses ingredients on hand at just about every Dunkin' Donuts location.

If the sandwich does well, I wonder if they'll start making other sandwiches with a donut as the bun. Glazed Donut Chicken Sandwich anyone?

  1. Do you have the option of scrambled eggs? I prefer the egg they serve in BK's croissanwhich.

  2. I don't think so, but I'm not sure, since they don't cook eggs to order but reheat them like Subway and Starbucks. We don't have any Dunkin' Donuts here in California.

That sounds absolutely disgusting. Something Paula Deen would eat. Blarph!

  4. I had it when I went on vacation a little over a month ago. It seems like a gross concept initially, but once you try it you'd be surprised, it's really delicious! However, due to the donut on mine being so fresh, it was unable to support the sandwich itself, so having a fork and knife on hand just in case would be ideal :)
