News: Wendy's - New Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger

Wendy's debuts the new, limited-time Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger starting today (with a staggered release that will see all Wendy's restaurants carry the burger by July 4).

The burger features a warm, soft pretzel bun sandwiching a 1/4 lb hamburger patty, Applewood-smoked bacon, a slice of cheddar cheese, warm cheddar cheese sauce, smoky honey mustard, tomato, red onion, and spring mix.

The price tag on the burger is $4.69 (may vary).

Apparently, the burger sold really well during its test phase and the company has high hopes for it. Wendy's Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger is slated to stick around through the summer. But if it does well, look for Wendy's to keep it around permanently.

  1. I don't know about a pretzel bun. I might try it if it wasn't so pricey. Otherwise the bacon and honey mustard sounds mouth watering.

  2. Why do you even come here then? This blog is pretty much all fast food.

  4. Yesterday I stopped by my local Wendy's drive-thru to try it. Though it was on the menu placard, they said "No, it won't be available until tomorrow."

So this evening I realized my fridge was empty, so I made a quick stop at the Wendy's again. Ordered the burger, and asked for them to "Guac it up" (free guacamole after 10 PM.)

Returned home to find that they put it on a regular bun, not the pretzel bun. Needless to say I won't be going back to this Wendy's anytime soon.

I will say that the bacon was really good and crispy, and the guacamole was pretty good too.

It arrived at my local Wendys today. After work I saw it advertised on the marquee. I ordered without bacon only because Im a weirdo and dont like bacon on burgers...I dont have the most refined tastes in the world and I have had my share of fast food burgers from all the major chains..ive tried them all..have to say..this is definitely my favorite burger ever from any of the big 5. The pretzel bun along with the cheese, honey mustard, onions, lettuce and tomato..all I can say is WOW. Took one bite as I was pulling out of the drive thru..was soooo freaking good that I had to go park so I could savor and enjoy every bite. Again, im not into gourmet burgers just fast food burgers...and for this dude..this is now my favorite of all time...the only trick will be limiting myself to 1 a week on my cheat day...wow it is fantastic
