Essentially an over-sized Jack in the Box Taco, you'll find the same ingredients inside: a blend of beef and soy protein topped with American cheese, shredded lettuce, and taco sauce.
The Monster Taco carries a suggested price of $1.29. Compared to the two for 99 cents price of their regular Tacos and it doesn't seem as much of a value.
It looks like the plan is to use the Monster Taco as a platform for feature variations.

Tried it, was kinda disappointed size wise, taste wise I loved it, but it was only about 25% bigger than the normal tacos. I'll stick with 2 for a dollar.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I remember I agreed on the size of these being on the small side from what you'd expect, and I'll probably also usually get 2 for a dollar when I want these. Also I thought the price used to be 99 cents, so back when the prices were the same once in a while I just preferred one bigger taco over getting two regular ones.
ReplyDeleteOn its own it just doesn't seem worth it, as two regular tacos are probably just as big (if not bigger) than this. But once these variations come out I'd be more willing give one a shot since they'll offer something different (I'm guessing they're trying to go after the Doritos Locos Tacos audience).
ReplyDeleteThis might replace the 2 for 1 deal I'm afraid.
