The 12-ounce box of four was $3.49.
You should always heat these up. They can be a little chewy and hard if you don't. A toaster oven is your best bet. If you're in a hurry a microwave will do as well.
The rolls were a little dry but otherwise had a somewhat flaky and tasty buttery crumb. They are fairly squat and flat compared to other cinnamon rolls you might find.
I usually find the full-on blanket on some supermarket cinnamon rolls to be a bit excessive. Trader Joe's light drizzle is enough to add a welcome sweetness without a saccharine flood.
There's a decent amount of sweet cinnamon flavor in the roll's rings, but the outermost layer lacks a little in the cinnamon department. There's some brown sugar thrown in for a slight note of caramel.
Overall, Trader Joe's Cinnamon Rolls make for a pretty nice breakfast or snack and a huge step up from supermarket rolls (which are more like bread than pastry). There's just enough desired sugar and cinnamon in these buttery pastries.
