Review: Good Humor - Reese's Halloween Ice Cream Peanut Butter Cups

Good Humor's Reese's Halloween-themed Ice Cream Peanut Butter Cups are roughly shaped like pumpkins and feature peanut butter ice cream with a Reese's peanut butter swirl dipped in a milk chocolate-flavored coating.

An 18 fl oz box of six bars goes for about $3 to $4, but I received this box courtesy of Good Humor.

These are virtually identical to the regular version Reese's Ice Cream Peanut Butter Cups that I reviewed last year but slightly smaller.

Other than the size, you get what is an ice cream version of a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. While there are other Reese's-themed ice creams, Good Humor's Ice Cream Peanut Butter Cups are the most true to the original. Some versions have actual Reese's peanut butter cup pieces, but they get too hard when frozen plus they're usually in chocolate or peanut butter ice cream, but that throws the proportions off. The ice cream cups hit the fabled "just right" (as in Goldilocks).

The ice cream is smooth, creamy, and peanut buttery, but it's the peanut butter swirl that delivers that roasted peanut butter flavor.

The shell mimics the chocolate portion of the original peanut butter cups admirably and taste of sweet milk chocolate rather than the cocoa that its made of.

Overall, if you're looking for a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup in ice cream form with some Halloween spirit, Good Humor's Halloween-themed Ice Cream Peanut Butter Cup is it.

  1. I tried the Diablo Ranch Chicken Sandwich yesterday. I rarely eat 7-11 food but I must say this was rather tasty. I will most likely be eating another.

  2. Their pizza is surprisingly decent too, especially given how quickly they prepare it for you.
