Review: McDonald's - Jalapeno Double

McDonald's Jalapeno Double features two beef patties, sliced pickled jalapenos, deep-fried crispy jalapenos, a slice of pasteurized process white cheddar, and ranch sauce on a plain hamburger bun.

I picked one up for $2.

The jalapenos provided a decent kick without ever getting too hot. The sliced ones added tang to go with the spicy, while the fried ones offered a crunchy heat with a light bit of jalapeno flavor.

Like the McDouble, there's a good amount of beefy flavor with two patties in a value-sized burger.

The cheese didn't give much cheddar flavor, but provided a creamy cushion against the heat.

It's the ranch sauce that made the burger come together though. The creamy, herby qualities really set off and balances out the rest of the ingredients.

Overall, McDonald's Jalapeno Double is a pretty tasty and moderately spicy burger that seems a suitable level for most folks. Don't overlook the ranch as the sandwich would not be nearly as good without it.
