News: Taco Bell's New $1 Cravings Menu Includes Beefy Fritos Burrito

This coming Monday, August 18th, Taco Bell replaces the "Why Pay More" value menu with the new $1 Cravings Menu that they've been testing for some time (more on that here and here). Among the items on the menu is the new Beefy Fritos Burrito but, sorry to disappoint, it's not the return of Beefy Crunch Burrito that some of you have been clamoring for.

The new menu is so named as it features items meant to satisfy certain cravings for things that are "spicy," "crunchy," and "sweet" to name a few.

There are 11 items in all on the $1 Cravings Menu, some new, some taken from the regular menu, and some are back after a hiatus. Here's what's new:

- Shredded Chicken Mini Quesadilla (review here) - marinated, white meat shredded chicken, shredded cheese, and creamy chipotle sauce grilled inside of a flour tortilla.

- Beefy Fritos Burrito - seasoned ground beef, cilantro rice (I guess they're not calling it "Latin" rice anymore), warm nacho cheese sauce, and original Fritos corn chips wrapped up in warm flour tortilla.

Sadly, the Beef Crunchito did not make the cut.
