Review: Jack Link's - Fritos Chili Cheese Beef Jerky

A pouch of Jack Link's Fritos Chili Cheese Beef Jerky.

Jack Link's Fritos Chili Cheese-flavored Beef Jerky is slow-smoked beef jerky with the seasoned flavor of Fritos Chili Cheese.

A 2.65-oz pouch costs about $7 in my area but I received this courtesy of Jack Link's.

Jack Link's Fritos Chili Cheese Beef Jerky next to a quarter.

Opening the pouch, freed the aroma of chili seasonings and cheese with an underlying smell of dried beef.

Fritos Chili Cheese Beef Jerky is on the moist end of the spectrum for jerky. The meat was chewy but not hard to bite into or through.

Cross-section of Jack Link's Fritos Chili Cheese Beef Jerky.

Besides the salty beef flavor of the jerky, it tasted just like Fritos Chili Cheese minus the fried corn chips. While the slightly sweet tomato note and chili seasonings were nice, the combination of cheesy flavor with jerky was a bit weird for me. It's not bad... Just weird. It's worth trying if you're a fan of Fritos Chili Cheese flavor.
