Jimmy John's Releases New Limited Edition Wine to Go with Frenchie Sandwich

In partnership with The Folk Machine winery, Jimmy John's helped create Vin de Sandwich, a limited edition win made to pair with their Frenchie sandwich.

According to Jimmy John's, the Frenchie is "so refined, savory, and rich, it deserved its own wine to pair with it."

Vin de Sandwich (which translates to "sandwich wine") is "a light-bodied Pinot made with grapes sourced from the Chalone appellation of California, with notes of dark raspberry and ripe cherry and hints of cedar and spice." Apparently, the "balance of tannins and acidity" of the new wine goes well with the "richness of the salami, capicola and salted butter."

Vin de Sandwich recently went on sale for $29.99 at Wine.com but is already sold out. The small-batch wine was solid enough to earn a score of 90 (out of 100) from the site's wine critic. The wine is not sold by Jimmy John's so you can't just walk into a store and get a bottle.
