Review: Trader Joe's - Peanutters

Trader Joe's Peanutters feature mini peanut butter cookies with the punch of three peanutty components: peanut-flavored chips, dry roasted peanuts, and peanut butter.

A 14-oz tub was $3.99.

I found these in the "new" section of Trader Joe's.

The cookies are thin, very crispy, and bite-sized (just slightly bigger than a half-dollar coin). They have that light, airy texture that almost melts when you give it a little suck. You can easily go through quite a few of these if you're not careful.

The peanut-flavor chips add a sweet creaminess to the cookies, while the dry-roasted peanuts add that roast flavor plus crunch. Between the two plus the peanut butter mixed into the cookie dough itself, there's plenty of peanut butter flavor to go around, but it's never overwhelming.

Overall, Trader Joe's Peanutters are really good, especially for peanut butter cookie fans. The combination of peanut-flavored chips and actual peanuts makes them a little more interesting as usually it's one or the other.
