News: Wendy's - New Pretzel Pub Chicken Sandwich

Looks like Wendy's is hoping lightning will strike twice with the introduction of a new, limited-time chicken version of their popular Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger, the Pretzel Pub Chicken sandwich.

The new sandwich features a chicken breast fillet (available in three varieties: Homestyle, Spicy, or Grilled), spring mix, tomato, a slice of Muenster cheese, cheddar cheese sauce, and honey mustard on a pretzel bun.

It's basically the Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger except with chicken instead of beef, Muenster instead of cheddar and minus the bacon.

The Pretzel Pub Chicken carries a suggested retail price of $4.79. It's available for a limited time through November at US and Canada Wendy's locations.

  1. Soon the normal hamburger bun will be gone and everybody will be using a Pretzel Bun. Just about everybody is jumping on the Pretzel Bun band wagon.

    Hopefully not.

  2. If the bun is as hard as the Pretzel Roll Roast Beef I got from Dunkin Donuts then it may discourage me. Otherwise if I try this new Pretzel burger and the bun is much softer it could work for me.

  3. I'm not sure why they are making bun so rounded on top. I found the burger awkward to eat. It's like eating a baseball. Is it really so hard to make a flatter, more pretzel-like bun. Isnt that the point? It's a pretzel, not a snowcone. Bennigans had a great pretzel bun for years. I'm not bothering with this one any more.

  4. I love Wendy's, but did not care for the pretzel burger; it was too heavy (!!!) for my taste.
