Around the World: McDonald's Italy's Sausage Baguette is Only Offered in Lazio Region

In what seems to an experiment in hyper-localizing a menu item, McDonald's Italy is offering a Sausage baguette sandwich only in the Lazio region of Italy.

Details are sparse but the sandwich appears to consist of a coarse-ground sausage patty (not the standard breakfast sausage we have in the US), onions, mustard, and hash browns on a baguette. It's kinda like getting your meat and potatoes on some bread.

Nationwide, the chain is also offering the new Chicken Pepper sandwich, which comes with a lemon pepper sauce, hash browns, lettuce, and breaded chicken patties.

McDonald's baguette sandwich started with the McBaguette in France, but has since spread to a few other countries including Italy.
