Review: Sonic - Cinnasnacks

Sonic's Cinnasnacks feature a warm, buttery shell filled with a gooey cinnamon-roll-like filling. They come with cream cheese frosting for dipping

A 3-piece order was $2.49.

My Cinnasnacks didn't really look like the product picture and were smooth rather than puffed up. Each piece is about half the size of a McDonald's Baked Pie, but with slightly more heft.

The dough is fried to a thin, crispy exterior and the interior is layered and buttery like a dense, moist, soft croissant.

The filling is pretty sweet and resembles what you find in the folds of a Cinnabon cinnamon roll. The Cinnasnack alone is plenty good on its own, but to deliver on the cinnamon roll-ish properties, a good-size dipping cup of cream cheese frosting is included.

The cream cheese frosting is creamy, thick, and sugary. It's thick enough that I could stand one of the Cinnasnacks vertically in it without any threat of toppling over. It does get almost excessively sweet when coupled with the cinnamon filling, so I used it sparingly. It was a little bit of a waste though as they give you more than enough cream cheese frosting and it had to figure somewhat into the price.

Overall, Sonic's Cinnasnacks are really good and might be better described as tasty, deep-fried cinnamon roll turnovers. Highlights include the crispy shell and the croissant like crumb as well as the cinnamon filling.

I thought these were quite good as well, although as always with Sonic's dessert "snacks", they seem really expensive for how many you get.

  3. Why would you even bother looking at it if it's fast food. Most of it is what some would say bad for yea but others don't care cause they like the taste of it.

  4. Sonic's never been cheap. Take for instance there fountain drinks. If it's not happy hour I'll just go to 7/11 to get mine. Much cheaper.
