Review: Starbucks - Sausage & Cheddar Breakfast Sandwich

Starbucks' Sausage & Cheddar Breakfast Sandwich features a sausage patty, scrambled egg patty, and a slice of aged cheddar cheese on a toasted English muffin (well, actually the whole sandwich is warmed/toasted when you buy it).

I bought one for $2.95.

The first thing I noticed about this sandwich was how wide the English muffin; it's just slightly smaller in width as Burger King's Whopper bun. It's actually a little too big as the sausage doesn't quite reach all the edges, which left a few bread-y bites. The crust toasted up real nice. While the crumb remained a bit denser than say, a Thomas' English muffin, it was also moister.

The sausage had a savory slightly herb-y flavor that I liked and was just salty enough for the sandwich without going overboard.

The cheese was nicely melted and delivered a creamy medium cheddar flavor.

The egg was moist and slightly fluffy. It mostly served as added protein and a buffer against the salt of the sausage.

Overall, Starbucks Sausage & Cheddar Breakfast Sandwich is a solid and enjoyable choice. It's well-made classic breakfast sandwich of good quality for a decent price (it's one of the more affordable breakfast options at Starbucks).
