News: Burger King - $1.04 Original Chicken Sandwich This Weekend

In early celebration of July 4th, Burger King will be selling their Original Chicken Sandwich for $1.04 starting this Friday, June 29 through Sunday, July 1.

The offer is only good on the original version of the sandwich and not the specialty versions.

The Original Chicken Sandwich is a long, sub-style sandwich with a breaded white meat chicken fillet with shredded lettuce and mayonnaise on a toasted sesame seed bun. It typically sells for around $4 in my area.

If you live in Alaska or Hawaii, it will cost more. As is always the case with these deals, price and participation may vary.

  2. That's a pretty good deal, more than 50% off at my local BK.

  3. Many moons ago the BK chicken sandwich was a regular purchase.

Then, as the price climbed far faster than my meager income I shunned the offering as my income was akin to the new-then value menu.

When the critters go on sale or a coupon magically appears in that box next to the shanty's front door with the buy one get another critter free deal (gosh, that's akin to getting two at 1/2 price each!!!!) occasionally I will scarf a couple of the on-sale yummies down.

Hold the mayo to reduce calories and remove the top half of the bun to cut carbs.

Take the uneaten bun half to the parking lot and toss little chunks to the tiny birds hanging around, mooching a free meal.

The world may despise this Disgruntled Old Coot but that's okay. At least a few little birds think kindly of me.

  4. I picked up one last week for the cheap price and I was a little disappointed that the patty was a little darker than it should have been.  Perhaps it was a little overcooked?  Tasted like it.  Shame I was looking forward to having one that was as tasty as it was cheap.  Guess you can't win 'em all...
