Review: Sonic - Pineapple Shake

Sonic's Pineapple Shake features real pineapple and pineapple syrup blended with vanilla ice cream, and finished with whipped topping and a maraschino cherry.

A 12-ounce mini-sized cup was $1.99.

While fairly thick and creamy, the Pineapple Shake I got found the pineapple playing second fiddle to the vanilla. It even sported a light yellow hue that could easily be taken for vanilla. Basically, it tasted like a vanilla shake with a hint of pineapple, which was a bit of a let down when the Peanut Butter and Jelly shake tasted just like its namesake, but in a shake.

Vanilla? ...or Pineapple?
It's possible that they just didn't add enough pineapple syrup in this instance, but the end result leaves you with just a light pineapple tartness.

Overall, Sonic's Pineapple Shake doesn't quite live up to the "pineapple" portion of it's name and is more like Vanilla with a touch of Pineapple. Not quite the tropic refresher I imagined I was getting.

Wow - nothing like padding a review by saying the same thing four times!
