Review: Pepperidge Farm - Lemon Chocolate Milanos

Pepperidge Farm's Lemon Chocolate Milanos are a new, limited-time spring flavor available exclusively at Target. It features a layer of chocolate and a layer of lemon-flavored paste sandwiched between to cookie biscuits.

I bought a package for $2.50 on sale.

These are pretty much a slightly different take on Orange Milanos. You get the same crispy biscuit and semi-sweet chocolate layer of most of the regular Milano line, but the paste features a refreshing lemon flavor with the sour bite toned way down.

The biscuit portion has an airy, crumbly texture and balances nicely with the chocolate and lemon-flavored filling. Unlike some other chocolate-covered or filled cookies, it never feels like you're eating candy.

Overall, Pepperidge Farm's Lemon Chocolate Milanos are pretty good and fits the spring season pretty well. If you like lemon without the sourness, these are the Milanos for you. I actually pretty a bit more tang, but I prefer my lemons sour.
